As one of the most successful Danish ceramists of his generation Morten Løbner Espersen (1965) explores the material of the discipline - clay and glazes - and their sensuous pleasures in objects of sublime beauty.
Comprising layer upon layer of fired glaze, the surfaces of Morten Løbner Espersen's internationally renowned ceramic objects are riotous array of colours and textures. The Copenhagen based ceramicist loves clay, and displays total mastery of the medium. But his passion for glazes comes from the impossibility of exercising full control over them.
